After graduating with honors from the University of California, Berkeley, with a degree in cultural anthropology, Linda completed a University of California Extension program in book publishing, She later earned certification as both a Master Gardener and a Master Food Preserver. Linda worked in house for the Harvard Common Press in Boston before becoming a freelance editor, designer, and publishing project manager. Since the mid-1990s, she has devoted more and more of her time to writing. She has also taught children’s classes in cooking and writing. Linda is a member of the Portland Culinary Alliance, Slow Foods USA, Willamette Writers, Seed Savers Exchange, and the Home Orchard Society. |
